What we collect
- Forms you send us (claim or update a property, add a property, suggest a correction, contact us, building inquiries, and the quarterly summary signup): whatever you type, such as your name, email, phone, company, role, and message, plus the page you sent it from and the time.
- "Is this still available?" answers on for-sale listings: your Yes or No, the listing, the time, and a random ID stored in your browser so you can't answer twice in a week.
- Spam protection: for forms and votes we keep a one-way scrambled code (hash) made from your internet address, never the address itself, to limit repeat submissions.
How we use it
- To review and make the corrections or updates you ask for, verify that a claimant really owns or represents a property, and reply if you asked us to.
- Building inquiries are read by The Waseca Ledger and may be passed to that building's owner so they can respond to you.
- Quarterly summary signups are used only to send that summary. Ask any time and we'll remove you.
- We don't sell, rent, or trade your information, and there are no ads or ad trackers on this site.
Where it's kept
Submissions are stored in a private database run on Cloudflare, the company that hosts this site. Only the site's administrator can read them. Photos and maps are loaded directly from Google (Street View and Google Maps), which has its own privacy policy. Fonts load from Google Fonts.
Property information
Listing, building, and business details come from public listing sites and public records such as Waseca County property records, MN Revenue eCRV filings, the MN Secretary of State, and the Waseca Area Chamber directory. When a property is owned by a private individual, we don't show their name. Owners can ask us to correct, hide, or remove a property at any time.
Your choices
To see, correct, or delete anything you've sent us, or to opt a property out, send us a note and say what you'd like done.
